Central Iowa tourism discussed by new author
February 20th, 2008A well known author is just finishing up the final pages of a book on central Iowa tourism that he has been working on for two years now. He did all the research on the book himself by finding every attraction and restaurant in the central Iowa area and visiting them himself or with his family. He is an avid camper so he would find a local campground and not only would he write about that he would use that campground as a central point to visit all the attractions in the area. He used the information supplied by the campground workers to find the hidden treasures of that particular area. He ate no meals at the campsite as he was also reviewing the restaurants in the area. One thing that surprised him was the number of museums that were scattered around the state. It felt like there was some kind of a museum in every other small town and the things they were dedicated to were quite varied. Some of them were dedicated to such things as salt and pepper shakers or old telephones. Most were just dedicated to the past of the community but those were quite interesting as well.
