A lot of the time, parents let their kids play whatever games they want, but there are a lot of games for children that are designed to emphasize a certain skill. A game for a child might be set up to build knowledge of reading, writing, math, problem solving skills, or spacial reasoning. A lot of the time, the information is even included on the box. Even when it isn’t, you can usually figure it out if you know a little bit about learning theories.
