Sitcoms like Will and Grace, Friends and Frasier all became international hits and their passing has left a big hole that won’t be filled anytime in the foreseeable future. Now with the sitcoms King of Queens and Everyone Loves Raymond also at an end, the search for good new TV shows in the situational comedy field are in crisis mode. All the above sitcoms are class acts to follow and every new sitcom that comes out will inevitably be compared to them. The television industry waits for the next golden age of comedy, frantically scanning sitcom scripts for that next big hit. As are we, the television viewing audience.
