Sharp Has Introduced a New Blu-ray Player
September 12th, 2009Sharp has just annouced that it will be releasing a new bluray player in October that will replace their previous flagship, the Sharp BD-HP50U. The new player will have the model no Sharp BD-HP52U and it will have the capability to receive streaming movies from Netflix. This is in direct competition to new players by LG and Samsung. The BD-HP52U supports BD-ROM Profile 2.0 for BD Live interactive features through an Ethernet jack-enabled Internet connection.
For added convenience, the BD player includes Sharp’s proprietary Quick Start feature for quick disc loading. With backwards compatibility, consumers can play their existing standard definition DVD library on the BD-HP52U.
