August 15th, 2009Not many people know why Eric Clapton wrote Layla, but infact it was a love song dedicated to his best friends wife who Clapton had fell in love with.
His best friend was none other than George harrison of the Beatles.
Clapton eventually went on to marry his love Patti Boyd.
To this day Layla by Eric Clapton remains the most played and admired song in rock history
