The BBC is confirming rumors of David Tennant leaving Doctor Who. The actor has played the 10th incarnation of the Timelord known as the Doctor in the long-running BBC science fiction series.

The series returned in 2005 after a 16 year hiatus with Christopher Eccleston playing the ninth Doctor, but he regenerated into David Tennant’s tenth Doctor at the end of the first new season. Tennant has played the part to great acclaim ever since.

Fans are sad to see him leave the series, but will be able to see him in the role for a little over a year, as he will appear in the Christmas special this year, as well as four specials in 2009.

They definitely don’t go into as much detail as Wikipedia, but they have all the dirt and links to other places that dish the dirt. They’re a good jumping off point for pictures, gossip, and even videos of your favorite female celeb. Mine is Britney Spears and their page doesn’t disappoint.

However, I do warn you that it is a bit geared for men, so the details it does provide are from a male point of view, if you catch my drift. It is fun just to surf around thought. Definitely a thumbs up from me. And just between you and me, I’ve made it my homepage.

I have a bet going with my buddy. We’re trying to figure out what Rihanna’s measurements are (bust, waist, and hips). You know who I’m talkin about. Rihanna, the girl who sings that song umbrella. Some people have a screen charisma that is hard to define. Steve McQueen movies made McQueen a star, giving him a long career and cult status. Fans love to see him in his anti-hero roles, something that he was particularly good at and was naturally attracted to. My son had never paid too much attention to our music selection. I think he assumed that his parents would not have anything that he would want to listen to. He was very surprised at the number of albums that we still have and that we still have a turntable to play them on. We pulled out a number of Beatles songs that dated back to the early 60’s all the way to the Anthology album. I explained that I had purchased the Anthology Album at the Mall of America when it was first released. They still have a number of new releases on vinyl for the British that come to shop there.

A book from a retired writer for the Des Moines Register has the title “Iowa is the most fun you can have in the US” and chronicles the many Iowa vacations that the author has taken over the years. Throughout his lifetime he has never been out of the state and every year he went to a different place for his vacation. The vacations changed over the years, starting with just he and his wife, then adding kids one by one, then subtracting the kids one by one, sometimes adding a kid and a kid-in-law, and finally ending with his last vacation alone after the death of his beloved wife. The book is very well written with lots of humor and lots of kid stories such as the camping trip when the kids brought a kitty into the tent. The kitty was all black with a white stripe down the middle of it’s back. The story is told from the perspective of being alone on the last vacation and taking that vacation to look back at all the good time he and his family enjoyed. Although the ending is a bit sad I say it is recommend reading as you will laugh till you cry at most of the adventures.

Have you ever been to Branson Missouri? If you haven’t you should try it. It’s the off season right now but starting in spring the place jumps. You can see all kinds of shows at night, in fact the main street looks like Las Vegas at night with all the signs advertising what is going on. During the day you can golf to your hearts content. There are at least four courses there, three of them public. You can take a ride on the Branson scenic railroad, always a joy. There are countless other forms of entertainment. Take the kids along, Branson is a very family friendly place. You do want to get a hotel room close to your desired venue though, the traffic during peak times can get very congested. Most times you can walk a half mile faster than you can drive it. You are also close to Table Rock Lake if you enjoy boating or fishing. The night life is mostly country western in nature although there are other types. Best get there early for the best seats. So load up the station wagon, hit the road, and head for Missouri. You can’t believe how much fun you will have.

Almost everyone loves Magic! - And I’ve been a lover of magic since learning how to do magic tricks at the age of six.

The pleasure I’ve gained from years of performing magic tricks and entertaining others has been tremendous and the camaraderie of other magicians throughout the world in something that makes the world of magic unique.

As magicians, we have a great deal of respect and admiration for our fellow performers and one of the best known of modern day illusionists is David Copperfield.

I’ve always admired the Magic of David Copperfield and indeed still do.

However, my admiration for the man himself has greatly diminished since reading the news about the ongoing investigation into his alleged rape of a young lady at his hideaway island retreat in the Bahamas.
