From the old edition of fashion magazine

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

I was browsing an old edition of fashion magazine where Sushmita Sen was featured when I decided to search for Sushmita Sen wallpapers on the net. I was given various choices that I ended up undecided which one to download. I have a term paper regarding pageants and I was planning to use her picture in the cover. Having won the Miss Universe title in 1994 catapulted Sushmita Sen’s fame not only in India but the whole world as well. Sushmita Sen’s fame did not falter after her Miss Universe stint and this has actually even opened doors of opportunities for her. Up to this date Ms. Sen did not fail to charm the people with her essence as she continues to do her best in every endeavor she pursues.

Use Tabu images to launch your new beauty product

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

Making an entrance in the beauty world is a seemingly uphill task. Most enthusiastic companies come in with their new cosmetics only to witness the early demise of their company. To make an entrance, you must really analyze the current market. It demands unquestionable skill and expertise. You should remember that first impression never changes. It actually defines the trend through which your new cosmetic will make. This means that you should never go wrong even the slightest possible way when launching your new cosmetic. In India, the situation is worse because of the cut throat competition that has rocked the market. Launching a beauty product demands more work and effort. A wise way of making an entrance is by launching your product by using renowned members of society. These people should have great influence on your market and should oozed indescribable beauty. They do this in an endeavor to have a taste of the quasi-Bollywood lifestyle that they never had. You will definitely be charged some substantial amount to use Tabu images. You should however look at the wider picture and the many riches that will come your way.

Born in Gorakhpur on December 1970, Jimmy Shergill is a famous and critically acclaimed actor in India. He started his acting career in the film Maachis, which revolves around the story of terrorism happening in North India. The movie became an instant box-office hit and since then, Jimmy appeared in a number of films. However, not all of his movies became successful.

Notable Jimmy Shergill videos include Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Delhi Heights, A Wednesday, and Mohabbatein. His best performance was seen in the film, Yahaan & Haasil, for which he took the role of a college student getting tied into student politics within the university. Despite doing Hindi films, it is in the Punjabi cinema where Jimmy made his biggest waves as an actor. He vowed to shoot at least one Punjabi film every year to develop the cinema and to help it compete with high-budgeted Hindi films. His recent Punjabi film, Dharti, was a huge box-office success. Even if the movie had few shows, it earned more that other Hindi films released on the same day. With this credit, Jimmy was named the new Punjabi hero.

Acting Schools – More Than Just Acting

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Once you get the acting “bug”, it is hard to shake. Sometimes, it is even all you think about. If you have gotten hooked, you should feel right at home at acting schools.

Usually, when you think about acting schools, the New York Film Academy comes to mind. It certainly is one of the top acting schools. However, you might want to get started with classes at a school near you.

Acting courses come in various shapes, sizes and most importantly costs. A good acting course will give you a thorough appreciation of the filmmaking process. This will allow you to access and develop so many vital tools. It will give you understanding of how to create a character which is rounded and believable on screen.

Understanding the technical process will hopefully help develop your confidence in front of the camera, if you know what a director wants, it should be easier to give it to them. Having a little knowledge about the technical aspects of filmmaking will be to your advantage.

Any acting school should have be a positive learning environment. The classroom should be a forum for ideas and criticism, where no one is afraid to open up and enthusiasm encouraged. Some acting coaches have reputations for criticizing and cutting down those learning to act. If you find yourself in a class like that, get out and try another one.

One of the great things about going to acting schools, is the opportunity you have to network and make a few friends with like minded, creative people. Whether you can afford to go to a top school or a local community college, get signed up and start acting.

Facets of Lady Gaga Costume

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Love to hate her or hate to love her? Either way, no one can stop the media from calling Lady Gaga the fashion icon of the century. Her fashion sense is simply out of this world. However, no animals are hurt in the process. Every month, we hear news of her astonishing costume dress up. Let us reminisce some key highlights of her fashion journey from the beginning of the 2010 till now.

January 2010, she wore a hat made entirely from her own hair when she appeared in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. Lady Gaga said she will create fashion, technology and photography products. Fashion Police captured her stunning moment at the red carpet dawn in an “iridescen Armani Prive swirling confection, accessorized with sparkling heelless platforms and a giant star.” Absolutely beautiful and elegant for the glamorous Grammy Awards.

February 2010, destination Brit Awards. She was the first to arrive and in great style that seemed to leave an ever-lasting impression upon the crowd. Lady Gaga appeared on the red carpet “sporting a white tiered Francesco Scognamiglio dress with a white pompadour wig that would make even Amy Winehouse’s beehive appear tame.”

March 2010, venue BBC Friday Night with Jonathon Ross. Punchline this round is a hair raising “hair phone”. A successful marketing tactics I would say to promote her single “Telephone”. Definitely another top charter of fashion forums.

Apr 2010, Fashion Yearbook. Vote results for the best and worst costume worn by her. Best ones include “Pretty in Hot Pink”, a bubblegum pink, structured cocktail dress for the 2007 Brit Awards. “Futuristic Disco Queen” glitzy disco dress that she wore at the 2009 Glastonbury Music Festival. “Banana Jacket” that sports a button collar, sunny hue color-blocked with black stripes fabric, fingerless leather gloves, and over-sized, open sleeves. “Lilac Rabbit” sporting a lilac blond bob under a black veil with 2 black lace bunny ears by Maison Michel on the cover of Spanish magazine Neo 2. “Dripping in Pearls” all-white pearl outfit, including her body and face. Worst costumes include “Plain Lady Gaga”, “Blubble Wrap”, “Gaga Little Tea Pot”, “Layer Cake” and “Muppet Slayer”

May 2010, Time magazine included Gaga in its annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world

June 2010, revelation of the fashion rundown for her latest single “Alejandro”. Gaga’s steam punk inspired binocular headdress is by Nasir Mazhar and the black Victorian-style cape was custom-made by the late designer Alexander McQueen. She wore underwear by Calvin Klein, black heels by Christian Louboutin and stockings by Agent Provocateur. The red nun outfit is custom made by Atsuko Kudo and its worn with a rosary bead necklace and jewels by Pamela Love. Gaga’s Joan of Arc tunic is a rubber piece custom-made by Jaiden rVa James with platform shoes by Noritaka Tatehana.

July 2010, performed for the Costume Institute ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of her Monster Ball tour. She looked like “a cross between Catwoman and Gene Simmons” as put by Washington Post. Needless to say, this invited an avalanche of critics who dethroned her from being a fashion “icon”.

August 2010, Staples Center. Lady G wore plastic bubbles on her bod, red lace over her face, 10-inch Alexander McQueen “armadilio” shoes on her feet and an Armani “Space Age” dress constructed of glittery rings that seemed to orbit around her. Turning the singing artist into a human disco ball.

Visit Lady Gaga Costume for fashion ideas to mimic this Halloween, Christmas, New Year or other party events.

Kiera Knightley in Pirates

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

They had to have a very pretty actress to play opposite Depp and Bloom. They sure found one in Kiera Knightley. In playing Ms. Swann, Kiera Knightley successfully balances a mixture of action, romance, feminine appeal, and tomboyish toughness into the character we know as Elizabeth Swann.

Of course, when we first meet with the grown up Elizabeth, she is a not-quite-proper daughter of the English governor. By the end of the movie, she has been a lover, pirate, warrior, marooned beauty, etc. Kiera Knightley even does some of her own stunt work, certainly giving her a higher place in the class of Hollywood Celebrities. She has captured the eyeballs of facial sweating teenage boys worldwide.

How Many More Movies For Blond Bond

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Daniel Craig is a decent actor I would say. Craig has had roles in Munich and The Jacket. He accepted the role of Bond last October, and filming for the movie began last month in Prague. Last week the producers of the film cast French actress Eva Green as Bond girl Vesper Lynd and Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen as the villain le Chiffre.

He has done a descent job especially after a controversial start. EON Productions angered fans around the world when they fired Pierce Brosnan at the height of his popularity as Bond. To add insult to injury, EON cast a short, blond, odd-looking Daniel Craig in the role of Bond. You could see the excessive facial sweating on the executives faces prior to the premier but today they are a bit more comfortable.

The Top 5 Boxing Movies Ever Made

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

The Cinderella Man stars a wonderful cast of actors, including: Russell Crowe, Renée Zellweger, Paul Giamatti, Craig Bierko and is directed by Ron Howard in this excellent heart wrenching underdog boxing movie that was set in 1930 U.S. during The Great Depression.
It was during the darkest years of the Depression, when James Braddock (Russell Crowe), a onetime successful boxer loses all his lifetime savings and possessions with the crash of the stock market. Braddock was forced into early retirement from boxing after a string of loses. Now with the depression on in full force, Jim must work several worthless low paying jobs to try and keep his lovely wife Mae Braddock (Renée Zellweger) and their three children from starving and freezing due to lack of heating. In 1934, Braddock’s manager and coach Joe Gould gives him a chance to resume his once promising and successful boxing career. Due to a late cancellation, Jim gets an opportunity to fight the number two ranked contender in the world. Not only does he accept the challenge, but he wins the fight. He soon becomes the symbol for hope for a nation full of hopeless people in a ruined nation. The great storyline and wonderful acting puts the Cinderella Man at second on our list of the Top Five Boxing Movies of All Time.

Who are the First Doctor and the Second Doctor?

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Doctor Who today is more popular than ever before, but what about its history? The second Doctor, Patrick Troughton broke new ground back in the mid 1960s when he had to take over from William Hartnell, the first Doctor.
It’s hard to imagine today what the reaction must have been when the main character of the popular show transformed in front of their eyes into a different person, but Troughton was the right one to cast and the show continued for another twenty years. Doctor Who fans everywhere can be happy with the new success of the revived series, but it was the work of the first and second Doctor who set the stage for everything that came later.

Anthony Hopkins Movies

Monday, April 21st, 2008

The 1990s was a productive decade for Anthony Hopkins and he made what would become his most famous role. The Silence of the Lambs, directed by Jonathan Demme, gave him his strongest challenge as he played the cannibalistic psychopath Hannibal Lecter. His performance won him the Academy Award for Best Actor. His scenes with Jodie Foster as FBI agent Clarice Starling were compelling. Hopkins went on to play the same character on two other occasions, in Hannibal and in Red Dragon. Lecter is the enduring character of all the Anthony Hopkins movies.A

Clark Gable And Carole Lombard – Hollywood’s Sweethearts

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Clark Gable’s third and most famous marriage was to the beautiful Hollywood actress Carole Lombard. To this day, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard are still considered Hollywood’s most famous couple ever. In January of 1942 tragedy would turn Clark Gable’s world upside down. The plane that Carole Lombard and Carole’s mother were flying in crashed into Nevada’s Table Rock Mountain. Sadly, they both lost their lives. After serving in the Army Corps during WWII, Clark Gable would come home from Europe to resume his Hollywood acting career. In 1949, roughly 7 years after the death of Carole Lombard, Clark Gable married the widow of the famed Hollywood actor, Douglas Fairbanks. Sylvia Ashley would become his forth wife, but like his first two marriages, it would end in divorce after only 3 years.

Tony Romo And Jessica Simpson

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

So the Cowboys lost to the Eagles and people are blaming it on Jessica Simpson? Do you really think Tony Romo had a bad game because she was wearing a pink and white Tony Romo Cowboys jersey? Get real. Tony R. is a professional and a damn good quarterback.

Remember, Jessica was at the Green Bay and NY Jets game. The Cowboys, and Tony Romo in particular, dominated that game. As quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo has put up numbers that Roger Staubach, Danny White and Troy Aikman never could.

Don’t doubt Tony Romo (Jessica Simpson doesn’t).

Indiana Jones DVD

Saturday, June 30th, 2007
Will There Be A Forth Indiana Jones DVD
Indiana Jones is unquestionably the greatest action hero in films and on dvd. Indiana Jones, played by actor Harrison Ford, was first introduced in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones is modeled after the square-jawed heroes of the pulp magazines and matinée serials such as Doc Savage. Director Steven Spielberg grew up watching the cliffhanging matinee adventures at his local movie house and wanted to re-create them in his trilogy of films featuring an archeology professor. The three movies, all available as an Indiana Jones dvd were big hits with audiences. Harrison Ford, in the lead role in the films, never lost his fedora hat and bullwhipped his way into action around the world, not content to stay in the museum.  The movies were co-produced by George Lucas, a friend of Spielberg and the man behind Star Wars. The franchise is set to return in 2008 with a fourth movie, starring Ford again.
Snakes! Why Did It Have To Be Snakes!
It all began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ford is in a race with Nazis to find the Ark of the Covenant. It also featured Paul Freeman and Alfred Molina. This was followed three years later with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, when Ford searches for a mystical stone. This Indiana Jones dvd and film features Kate Capshaw and Amrish Puri.

Alec Baldwin Can’t Quit

Friday, May 4th, 2007

Actor Alec Baldwin, embarrassed by a ranting phone message to his daughter that surfaced on the Internet, has asked to be freed from his TV show to spend more time with family, a person close to the situation said on Wednesday.

Baldwin, 49, who stars as a venal, egocentric television executive on NBC’s popular comedy “30 Rock,” revealed his request for early release while taping a guest appearance for Friday on ABC’s daytime talk show “The View.”

His comments were not made public in advance but CNN Headline News reported them and a source close to the situation confirmed his remarks to Reuters.

Celebrity Homes

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Most of us are obsessed with celebrities these days. We want to know what they wear, where they go, whom they are with and where they live. Celebrity homes are a good insight into the lavish lifestyle that celebrities live. If there is some controversy attached to the star, then we are even more fascinated.
There are a lot of companies that run bus tours around Hollywood and districts of Los Angeles such as Beverley Hills, Bel-Air and the Sunset Strip. It’s a chance to see some of the jaw-dropping mansions of the rich and famous. Sometimes, the passengers only get to see a gated entrance, a high wall and security cameras but it’s still a thrill. Some of the celebrity homes go back to the golden age of Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s. Movie stars back then were American royalty and they held court in their palaces. We are a bit more irreverent now in our fan worship.

The Tradegy And Comedy Of William Shakespeare

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

It is believed that Shakespeare produced most of his work between 1586 and 1612, although the exact dates and chronology of the plays attributed to him are under considerable debate, as is the authorship of the works attributed to him. He is counted among the very few playwrights who have excelled in both tragedy and comedy, and his plays combine popular appeal with complex characterisation, poetic grandeur and philosophical depth…..read more at The Tradegy And Comedy Of William Shakespeare

Acting Workshop

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Have you ever considered a career in Hollywood? This seems to be that field that everyone ponders at one time or another in their lives. I think it stems from watching films more than anything. I know oodles of people rant and rave about how great it would be to have millions of dollars and everybody worshiping the ground you walk on. However, I think when it comes down to it, it’s the escapism aspect that reigns supreme. Who wouldn’t want to play a super hero for a few months? Who wouldn’t want to delve into the life and character of a vicious villain? This would be an utter blast.

Blockbuster Movie

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

When was the last time you went to see a movie?  The blockbuster movie is what keeps the major studios going. Big budget entertainment for the masses is their lifeblood. The multi screen cinema complexes also need them. It’s what keeps the popcorn popping.

Big budget means high risk and a blockbuster movie box office failure could even bring a studio to it’s knees. Failures are pretty rare though, as studios and directors have a good grasp of what the audiences want. The consensus is that if $200 million worth of tickets are sold in the US, then you can define a film as a blockbuster movie.

Do you have a favorite celebrity?

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Do you have a favorite celebrity?  Alec Baldwin is a famous America actor, producer, and director.  He is the oldest and most famous of the ‘Baldwin brothers’, his younger brothers Daniel, Stephen, and William are all well known actors as well.  Okay, so the most obvious choice is the classic Marilyn Monroe picture where she is standing over the subway grate blowing cool air up her sexy dress on a hot city day—in the movie, The Seven Year Itch.  My friend has a Britney Spears poster in his bedroom.  In this poster, she is wearing a cap, doing a semi-wink at her viewer, has a crop top on to expose or reveal her naval piercing, and is quite voluptuous for the rails that usually top the fashion and celebrity charts.

How to write a movie script

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Instead of producing original, creative films that I actually want to see, it appears that most studios are content to churn out sequels and remakes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked out of a theater shaking my head in disappointment at what I just saw and telling myself that I could do better than that if only I could learn the basics about how to write a movie script. The fact that the big studios consistently choose to produce rehashed material makes me think that perhaps they don’t have a towering stack of quality screenplays at their fingertips.
