I have a great and quite long article all about Hercule Poirot, who is a fictional Belgian detective who featured in the novels of Agatha Christie. Go to my Hercule Poirot site here.
He has been portrayed on screen by various actors including Albert Finney, Peter Ustinov and most recently, David Suchet.
Poirot has appeared in many novels and short stories. Along with Miss Marple, Poirot is one of Agatha Christie’s most famous characters.
Poirot is still in copyright with Christie’s grandson, Matthew Prichard, who now owns the royalties to his grandmother’s works.

Great idea. Put them on blank CDs, or your MP3s and listen and learn, during your dreary drive into work. Wonderful quality and so very inspiring.

I have seen over the years some gorgeous, stunning, and rare Marilyn Monroe pictures that seem more representative of the Marilyn Monroe who was a person, too. One of my favorites is the shot of her working out. She is laying with her back to the bench press, holding small dumbbells up in front of her. She is dressed in jeans and a bathing suit top. The photo is black and white, shot by Phillipe Halsman in Hollywood in 1952. Simple, real.

Are you a fan of of Late Night tv’s Craig Fergusan??? I am!
Craig Fergusan has this fiery spirit and gung ho attitude that once you get used to his personality, his performance rises above the rest and puts this man right up there in brilliance aside great comedic minds and the other great comedians I admire.
Craig Fergusan reminds me of brilliant people like Bill Maher, George Carlin, Ali G (Sascha Cohen) ,Conan, Billy Crystal, Dana Carvey and Jim Carrey.

These days it’s not an unusual sight to see movie-related products on store shelves. I expect that kind of thing from Disney or Pixar movies for sure, but didn’t realize that this type of marketing extended to so many other films as well. For example, I’ve seen so much Napoleon Dynamite merchandise over the last couple years that I finally gave in and watched the movie. I had heard of it of course, but had managed to avoid it because it just didn’t seem like my kind of film. But its popularity definitely had me intrigued, and since there was such great demand for t-shirts and other stuff, I had to see what all the fuss was about.

Reputations have been made in the theatres for composers such as Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, who went on to represent everything that is good about American music. Playwrights like Eugene O’Neill and Neil Simon have fond memories of their Broadway New York productions. Recently, critics have been lamenting the lack of straight plays due to the dominance of musicals. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats was the longest running show and then his Phantom of the Opera took over.

An article about the latest movies by Bob Renner
How many of the latest movies are 50 percent CG? Yes, I’m talking about computer graphics. This is one of the wonderful aspects of film now-a-days. Not because it requires less of the actors or film crew, but because it allows us to believe. Everything looks so real that we forget we are watching a fantasy world. That’s truly a great aspect of film. You can get lost in it for a while. More recently I watched the movie, Silent Hill, and it did a fabulous job with special effects. I don’t know how they would have made the film without them. On a different note, the cool thing about going to the movie theater these days is the convenience.

This article is about glamour and commercial modeling. Facial expressions are a simple tool many photographers models overlook so hope this will give you something to think about if you are serious about becoming a professional female photographers model. Facial expressions are basically inherited.
They come from a long line of “mamas” and “papas” and “grandmas” and grandpas” so you’re stuck with what you received, right?
Not necessarily.
There are ways to alter some of your expressions although your facial expressions will remain your own up to a point.

Do you love movies?
Oh come on, we all love that escapism we get when delving into a great film. It’s like we can actually leave our mundane lives for a couple hours and live vicariously through some hero or villain. Whether we know we’re doing it or not is irrelevant. But this is how movies work, folks.
When you sit down and become engrossed in a film, you typically relate to one or more characters in the film, and on some level, live through their actions until the film ends. You can feel yourself rooting for them. The cool thing about this escapism…

This article is for models who are thinking about working with a stock photographer on a either a paid assignement or a photo exchange (tfp). I hope it will clarify a few things for you.
Yes, I know. You’ve probably heard all the reasons why you shouldn’t model for stock photographers.
One of the biggest reasons models are shy when it comes to stock photo shoots is that she has no control over where her photographs will end up. And, I agree that it is a real concern.
Stock photographers come in many shades of photographic areas so don’t be too quick to judge the whole industry because of a section that is less than attractive.
As a stock photographer who just happens to shoot with fashion, art and glamour models ….

An article about DVD Rentals by Bob Renner
So I turned to the internet for help and discovered the fascinating world of DVD rental. Imagine an online listing of all the best movies you have ever heard about, in DVD version, filed alphabetically. And the best part is that they are made affordable as they are rented out, as opposed to being sold. Think of it as an extension of the old video library, but in DVD versions. In fact, this is how the older DVD rental services operated. You browsed through their catalogue to find the movie you wanted, called or mailed them with the details of your order and walked to the store at your convenience to pick up the DVD to watch and enjoy at home. Paying a small monthly membership ensured that you got the DVDs for perhaps as little as a dollar a view… as opposed to the prohibitive cost you would have to pay to buy them.

This is a report about how to promote yourself as a freelance fashion model and I hope it gives you some insight for your career.
Some models would rather promote themselves instead of listing through an agency. Nothing wrong with this but it does require more work on your part.
If your are signed with an agency, they promote the business, they talk to the clients in your behalf, they set up the shooting dates, they take the heat if you don’t make it to the session, etc.
But, there are many models who are “loners” in the pool of modeling and want complete control over who they work with and why.
If you are one of these models, read on …
There are several ways to promote yourself. I will try to mention some ways for you to promote your modeling talent and a step by step format to follow.

An article about Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman is one of the most highly paid actresses in Hollywood right now, commanding more than $17 million per movie, which is a substantial increase from her first films, that only paid $200,000 each. Most of Nicole’s fans know that she is from Australia, but what they don’t know is that she was born in Hawaii, and then lived in Washington, DC for a time before her parents returned to their native country with their daughters. Nicole dropped out of high school at the age of sixteen to pursue an acting career full time…

An article about Entertainment by Joseph Marian
Celebrities fascinate us regardless of what industry they are in. I suppose we all wonder what makes them different from us… or should I say from the average Joe or Jill? What makes a person a star? What is that star quality? Maybe I have it
Perhaps its because we’ve come to expect these people to entertain us. Isn’t that the price of fame? When you’re a celebrity you belong to your fans…right? Well… maybe, but I feel the line has to be drawn somewhere. It really irritates me when some of these photographers harrass these people. I mean after all, they are people. Yes we are interested in what they’re doing and how they live and we do want to see these people and…

Alleged dangers of television watching:
Paralleling television’s growing primacy in family life and society, an increasingly vocal chorus of legislators, scientists and parents are raising objections to the uncritical acceptance of the medium.
For example, the Swedish government imposed a total ban on advertising to children under twelve in 1991 (see advertising).
In the U.S., the National Institute on Media and the Family (not a government agency) points out that U.S. children watch an average of 25 hours of television per week and features studies showing it interferes with the educational and maturational process.
