The 1990s was a productive decade for Anthony Hopkins and he made what would become his most famous role. The Silence of the Lambs, directed by Jonathan Demme, gave him his strongest challenge as he played the cannibalistic psychopath Hannibal Lecter. His performance won him the Academy Award for Best Actor. His scenes with Jodie Foster as FBI agent Clarice Starling were compelling. Hopkins went on to play the same character on two other occasions, in Hannibal and in Red Dragon. Lecter is the enduring character of all the Anthony Hopkins movies.A

Movies of passionate love relationships between men and women have always held a special place in our cultural heritage. Movies about great love affairs have been made from the classic stories of Lancelot and Guinevere, Heloise and Abelard, and Romeo and Juliet. These classics are remembered as symbols of physical passion and spiritual devotion. Although they are most often regarded as love stories, the literary foundation of these movies is that of tragedies – and tragedies of a most telling kind.

Most free movie downloads services are using a free movie download method called decentralized peer to peer file sharing. This means that the software the free movie download services are using is absolutely legal. What’s more, this also implies that if the free movie downloads service decides to distribute it there won’t be any illegal ramifications from it. With that said, why are some people still running into needless legal trouble for file sharing? I’ll explain why and how to fix it so your
free movie downloads will be totally legal.

Unquestionably, the word free is a very powerful word and it tends to draw people to it like moths to a flame. I used that analogy because it fits free P2P download sites exactly. While it sounds great to be able download all of your iPhone games and movies for free, there are far too many ways to get burned. Free P2P download sites are notorious for giving users computers malicious viruses, spyware and adware, not to mention the legal issues with sharing copyrighted materials. If after reading this, and you are still intent on playing with fire by going to a free P2P download site for your free iPhone games and free iPhone movies, you had better have some up to date kick butt virus protection. To save yourself from copyright legal issues, make sure you don’t share any of your media files with anyone. Either uncheck the “share files” option or move all of your downloaded iPhone game and movie files to a different folder on your computer. C.Y.A.

The second most
free martial arts movie downloads are the modern Chinese martial arts movies being made today. The movies of Chinese actors like Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat and Jet Li have set the new standard in excellence for their action packed martial arts fight scenes. These three gifted Chinese martial arts actors have become as well known as many of the best American and English born actors. They impeccably combined dazzling special effects, exquisite choreography, and comical antics into one seamless whole. Because of this, “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” will soon be the top free martial arts movies download of all time.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about film, it’s that movies are subjective for the most part. While your best friend may have a top ten list of scary movies that totally creep him/her out, your list of horror films may be totally different. No worries!

If your choice is a site with pay per download fees, this means it will cost you about $0.90 for every one of your movie, music and game downloads. This kind of Zune downloads site can become extremely expensive if you plan on downloading a lot of games, movies and music.
The second way to get your Zune downloads would be to get a membership with an unlimited free Zune downloads site. With this type of service all you need do is pay a one time lifetime membership fee of about $30 to $35. Once you become a member, all of your downloads would be free forever, including unlimited free Zune game downloads,
unlimited free Zune movie downloads, unlimited free Zune software downloads, unlimited free Zune music downloads, plus much more. Instead of paying for each and every one of your Zune downloads, all it will cost you is a one time lifetime membership fee. Many of the free Zune download sites offer a one or two year option as well as the lifetime membership plan. Dorothy and her cute doggy Toto do not try to find way home from behind the rainbow any more after an English rock band Pink Floyd gave their own version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow.
Wait! Wizard of Oz, an MGM movie, was made 1939 – according to my son, in the ancient times. To be truth, Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon, lies for him in the same ancient times.
Now, on the more serious note: Dark Side of the Rainbow aka Dark Side of Oz aka The Wizard of Floyd, is some sort of synchronization between classic MGM movie and Pink Floyd album. One watches the film and listens to music at the same time. Many believe that the movie and the music somehow correspond with each other.

Netflix seems to have come up with a great idea, but apparently, downloading movies only works well for customers who own fast computers with a big hard drive and a broadband connection. Not all of Netflix’s potential customers has enough speed, enough hard drive space or a broadband connection on their PC for
movie downloads. Unless you have a quick PC that is attached to extremely fast Internet connection, movie downloads can take a long time. However, if you plan your movie downloads to begin prior to going to bed, or going shopping or to work, this is something someone can do and not even notice the long wait. An inexpensive external hard drive will give plenty of space on your computer to store all of your movie downloads. Here is something you should know: Netflix has made it so after watching your movie downloads a few times, you won’t be able to copy it.

I was looking for some entertainment around the state so I was browsing the Minnesota vacation rentals and then cross-referencing their locations to the local shows. There are quite a few places with local bands and some of the locals are really quite good. I can order an adult beverage and sit and listen to them for hours. It’s a great way to wile away an evening. The other thing I was looking for was movies. I am a movie junkie at heart. Most of the movies I actually watch on DVD at home, but when you are looking for a night out that trip to an actual theater is a whole different experience. Even though I have a surround sound system, the quality of the sound along with the big screen experience can not be beat. I have a small camcorder that I carry with me. It’s great for videoing the bands. Most of them don’t allow that so you have to be a little sneaky in the way you get it into the venue. You also have to be careful as to the way you film. Getting caught can be cause for your removal. Sometimes even your permanent banishment from the establishment.

The only way to find a true all time list of scary movies is by finding the best scary films lists that people just like you would commonly recommend and then comparing them. You will find that by comparing the different lists of scary movies you will find movies that will only be on a few of the lists and movies that will be on the majority of the lists. The films that you find on only a few of the lists should be labeled as other people’s personal favorites and set aside. The films that you found on almost every list of scary movies that you correlated are the true champions. These are the films that truly make it on “
The All Time List of Scary Movies.”

With the choice of so many programming providers out there it can be difficult deciding on which is right for you and your family. Of course there are some basic factors that can alleviate this decision based on the type of viewing that is desired in your home.
In large cities such as Houston, Texas there are three major providers. These are Dish Network, Direct TV, and of course, Comcast. To be fair to all three there are distinct advantages to each.
For Comcast they tend to have less chance of signal loss during a major storm. However, when signal is lost due to a down or cut line, repair is longer to achieve. In addition pricing is somewhat higher than Direct or Dish. Quality of picture is also an issue, especially if the house is further on down the line as signal strength weakens. And of course, in February of 2009 all cable customers will need a box for each tv wanting service.
Direct TV like Dish has %100 digital programming unlike cable. Where Direct is possibly a better choice over the other two is in the area of NFL fans. Direct TV is the only provider to have the Sunday NFL Ticket where fans can watch all the games on Sunday. This service is usually an additional $300 or more in addition to the regular programming package fees. Also, unlike Dish, a receiver is needed for each tv.
Where Dish Network distinguishes themselves from Comcast and Direct TV is in their overall product. Dish has %100 digital programming, the NFL Network is in one of their lowest priced packages, each receiver is capable of operating two televisions instead of one, their regular pricing is lower than the rest, and signal loss is only on average two to five minutes in the rare occurrence signal is lost. In addition to the regular cd music available, Sirius Satellite music comes included with their mid to high level packaging at no extra cost. And, when it comes to High Definition programming (HDTV) Dish is the leader.
Thanks for stopping by “GreaterHoustonTV” and feel free to give us a call anytime should you have any questions.

Clark Gable’s third and most famous marriage was to the beautiful Hollywood actress Carole Lombard. To this day, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard are still considered Hollywood’s most famous couple ever. In January of 1942 tragedy would turn Clark Gable’s world upside down. The plane that Carole Lombard and Carole’s mother were flying in crashed into Nevada’s Table Rock Mountain. Sadly, they both lost their lives. After serving in the Army Corps during WWII, Clark Gable would come home from Europe to resume his Hollywood acting career. In 1949, roughly 7 years after the death of Carole Lombard, Clark Gable married the widow of the famed Hollywood actor, Douglas Fairbanks. Sylvia Ashley would become his forth wife, but like his first two marriages, it would end in divorce after only 3 years.

There are a plethora of
movie reviews on the web at any time. If you want to discover varying opinions on a variety of films then check out rottentomatoes.com, it’s a really cool site. While some critics may bash a film into the ground, others will give it a thumbs-up. As I said, a great deal depends on the critic writing the movie review. When it comes down to it, you can see how many movie critics are writing damning reviews on a new movie release and how many are praising it. The way it is supposed to work is, if the movie receives many more bad reviews than good reviews, than chances are it’s going to be a flop. But, if you really want to know for sure, go and see it for yourself and give it your own movie review.

If you truly enjoy watching free Hollywood movies online, however, you will have to search a little bit harder than normal. Look, you can watch free movies online from whatever genre you want, drama, science fiction, fantasy, romance, action movies, etc. The problem is that most of them aren’t actually located on the Web. The best way to
watch free movies online if you are looking for Hollywood films is to go on USENET. You can download free movies from the Internet to your hearts content as long as you have some type of USENET server. There are literally tens of thousands of different newsgroups, many of which offer you the opportunity to watch movies online. It is definitely worth it if the fact that downloading the free movies can be a little bit slow.

The first movie in any series is usually considered the best of the lot and this might be true in some people’s opinion about Dr. No, the very first James Bond movie. I love the mystery involved in the film and who can forget the famous scene of the exquisitely beautiful Ursula Andress emerging from the water onto the sandy beach. I even bought the poster.
Even though the first
James Bond movie is a fan favorite, I would have to say that Goldfinger is definitely mine. The scene with that gorgeous woman entirely covered in 24 carat gold paint is so memorable. I could watch it over and over again and I have. Who could forget the evil Odd Job and his deadly hat.

Yesterday, I spotted “Macgyver” on dvd in Best Buy. I don’t usually purchase these old TV series’, but I had to jump on this one. Macgyver was literally my childhood hero. It was fascinating how he solved everything with his brain, instead of brawn. It was very encouraging. With a little help from his Swiss Army knife and some duct tape, he was pretty much good to go. The guy could make a grenade out of a chewing gum wrapper, or an airplane out of an old kite. The greatest thing about macgyver on dvd is that now all of the new generations to come can still enjoy the magic of this spectacular TV series.
Did you know you can watch your favorite dvds on your Zune? You can, and it’s easy. All you need is a software program that converts dvds to zune. There are a lot of free ones out there, but my favorite is the cucusoft zune converter. It’s not free, but I don’t mind paying because I know I can get support if I need it, and, most important, they haven’t hidden any spyware or other malicious programs within that may compromise your computer. Give it a try so you can take your dvds on the road with this holiday season without having to buy a separate dvd player.

When I was young regrettably, I never did any research into how to become a movie director before I entered college. If I had of researched I’m sure I would have been discouraged. You see, I had no idea that going to film school and obtaining a degree was only just the beginning. Whilst you can direct movies due to the fact you now qualify to do so technically, no one really wants to hire you unless you have many years of experience. That’s because nearly everyone would like to be the movie director. You’ve got to understand that Hollywood is packed with many more qualified and skilled people than you are at directing movies probably for many years after you graduate film school, It can take many years of arduous work, building network connections and being a gopher on different movie sets before you will be hired as a movie’s director.

Do you remember the days of going to the movie rental store every weekend and browsing the aisles to pick out a movie or two? Or perhaps you still do that today. I’ve decided to switch to renting DVD’s online and have them delivered right to my door. It is so easy and convenient and saves tons of time and gas even. In fact, now that I’ve experienced how simple it is to rent movies this way, I think I’ll be sticking with online DVD movie rentals for a long time to come… until something even easier becomes available, anyway.

The Mark of Zorro was the transition between Douglas Fairbanks’ early career as a brash all-American hero and the lavish 1920s costume adventures. Douglas Fairbanks’ Zorro influenced the creation of Batman. Also, Fairbanks visited the Soviet Union in the 1930′s and coached Soviet movie-making and became a member of the prestigeous Soviet Academy of Sciences.
When they say they don’t make ‘em like they used to, they’re talking about 20th Century Fox’s exhilarating The Mark of Zorro, starring Tyrone Power as the caped one, Linda Darnell as his love interest, and Basil Rathbone at his scurrilous best as Zorro’s nemesis. More textured than the 1920 original with Douglas Fairbanks, this 1940 version has Don Diego/Zorro (Powers) returning from Madrid to defend his father and rally the caballeros (noblemen) against Los Angeles’s corrupt new governor (J. Edward Bromberg), intent on taxing the peons to death.

Flash Gordon - Conquers the Universe movie is a 1940 twelve episode serial film about Flash Gordon. It was the last of three Flash Gordon serials made from 1936 to 1940. The serial was produced and copyrighted by Universal Pictures. The film starts on Earth. A deadly plague has been ravaging the planet, known as the Purple Death because it leaves a purple spot on the forehead of its victims. Ming the Merciless is suspected to be behind the plague, and Flash Gordon is sent with Dr. Zarkov and Dale Arden to the planet Mongo to find the cause of the plague, as well as a cure. Caused by Ming’s spaceships dropping “Death Dust” into the Earth’s atmosphere, they eventually find an antidote for it and Flash and Zarkov distribute it by the same method soon after the start of the series, while Dale Arden remains in the forest kingdom. Collecting movie posters of popular Hollywood films and movie stars is very popular. Collecting movie memorabilia has become a fun hobby for many movie fans, but it is also a way of owning your own piece of movie history. Collecting movie posters has also become an investment to some. More and more movie fans are now also considering this aspect when buying a poster. Movie posters are now prized as combinations of fine art and popular culture. Star Wars and Star Trek movie posters are one example of very popular posters of both hobbyists and collectors. Horror movie posters are a frequently collected item among horror buffs. Fans and collectors both purchase western movie posters because of their beautiful background scenes and the action packed photography. Some of the most popular movie posters at the moment are Star Wars movie posters. And now Spider-Man 3 movie posters are now available for hobbyists and collectors to purchase.
Vintage movie posters have been a fan and collectors favorite because they offer an excellent opportunity to have your favorite movie or movie star in your home.

Deja Vu – Didn’t That Killer Die In The Last New Movie Release
For some reason they remake horror films more than any other genre. And I understand that with today’s superior special effects the temptation is just too strong not to want to remake everyone’s favorite scary movies. But, guess what Hollywood? The reason most people go to see a new released horror or hack and slash movie is the suspense, the unknown. Guess what? When you remake a horror or hack and slash movie, the suspense is gone, the unknown is known. Use your collective imaginations and make a completely original
new released movie so we can start using our imaginations once again. I have actually heard remakes called “re-imaginations” and that’s a sad thing. So please stop taking the “thrill” out of the thriller.

How disappointing that Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s new flick will not be seen in the format it was intended.
It seems American audiences just didn’t “get it” and now the films are being released separately.
This may be no bad thing as the films can stand up on their own merits. But what if we want that authentic gridnhouse experience.
The kind of sleazy and trashy pop culture experience that just doesn’t seem to get made these days. Well, it is possible – check out my selection of grindhouse movies

The inspiring, thrilling story of Arthur Golden’s “Memoirs of a Geisha” is beautifully brought to life in Columbia Pictures’ rendition of the tumultuous tale. This movie tells the heart-wrenching story of the poor Sayuri, who is sold by her impoverished father as a young child into a geisha house.
She must learn the intricate details of this complex profession while battling against her bitter competition, Hatsumomo, and pleasing the endearing Chairman. Though the path is a long and bumpy one for Sayuri’s once so fragile persona, she is able to achieve her wildest dreams, driven only by her unfailing strength and powerful determination.

Will There Be A Forth Indiana Jones DVD
Indiana Jones is unquestionably the greatest action hero in films and on dvd. Indiana Jones, played by actor Harrison Ford, was first introduced in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones is modeled after the square-jawed heroes of the pulp magazines and matinée serials such as Doc Savage. Director Steven Spielberg grew up watching the cliffhanging matinee adventures at his local movie house and wanted to re-create them in his trilogy of films featuring an archeology professor. The three
movies, all available as an Indiana Jones dvd were big hits with audiences. Harrison Ford, in the lead role in the films, never lost his fedora hat and bullwhipped his way into action around the world, not content to stay in the museum. The movies were co-produced by George Lucas, a friend of Spielberg and the man behind Star Wars. The franchise is set to return in 2008 with a fourth movie, starring Ford again.
Snakes! Why Did It Have To Be Snakes!
It all began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ford is in a race with Nazis to find the Ark of the Covenant. It also featured Paul Freeman and Alfred Molina. This was followed three years later with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, when Ford searches for a mystical stone. This Indiana Jones dvd and film features Kate Capshaw and Amrish Puri.
