You can listen to the radio all that you want, but you are not going to find much that is interesting, or even appropriate, for your children under the age of eight or so. Though they may love the beat of the music, and dance around to it, they really don’t understand it, and they aren’t getting anything from it. When it comes to kids, if you want to reach them, you have to speak their language. The music should be complicated and beautiful, but the theme of the children songs can be, and should be, something rather simple. So, if you want to learn more about Children Songs just read my article.

Following the musical revolution in the 1960s, the next decade absorbed different influences and produced a mixture of genres. 70’s music artists represented many different styles. There was something for everyone, with disco, soft rock, progressive rock, punk and new wave, and more. There were many radio friendly artists that got a lot of airplay. The brother / sister duo, The Carpenters appealed to moms and dads, and their kids. Karen Carpenter’s voice was one of the best in pop. Country rock, as it was known, was a popular fusion and The Eagles had the most commercial success with their laid back vocals. In contrast, Heavy Metal was alive and well, particularly in the UK. Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Judas Priest were exciting to watch live and commanded a huge following.

Native American music certainly fits into this category, and provides a nice background when driving through the mountains or becoming one with nature on a personal spiritual journey at home or in the wilderness. This music represents America’s heritage and represents this unique culture that is very much a part of this country’s history.

I have bought many guitars online over the years. I studied Classical Guitar At The Crane School of Music, and played in various bands for the last 15 years or so. To Buy Guitar Online is to truly live on the edge. Really I would prefer to go to the store and play the very guitar I am buying, but sometimes, I have to order. For example, in 2001 I wanted this Parker Fly Classic (now called the mojo) with a certain natural finish I could not find in New York. I went online and eventually found the exact one I wanted in a small store in Tennessee (I forget the website lol) In general though, I would go to a local music store to play the guitar you are buying because the more expensive ones like Gibson, are all basically hand-made and can have different feels, flaws and bonuses, ESPECIALLY acoustic guitars. I really want the Martin D-35, but I would definitely go to a store and play 3 or 4 of them before choosing one, not just picking it out of a catalogue.

I’m a bit of a vintage guitar enthusiast, so I thought I’d share with my fellow guitar geeks an article about vintage Gibsons. It was published by www.guitarheadz.com. I liked the article and republished it on my vintage guitar fan site. Here’s a snippet:
Vintage Gibson acoustic guitars have always been, and will always be among the favorites of both musicians and collectors world wide. The first Gibson acoustic guitars came out around 1900, and they have been going strong ever since. Even the early models were known to be the best in the industry. The great thing about the Gibson name is that they constantly reinvent themselves, but never seem to fall off the map. Regardless of what they do, or how they design their next guitar, Gibson is always the one setting the trend.

My son played the violin for a couple of years, and then moved onto other, “cooler” types of strings. When the time came to shop for cheap electric guitars, he had been involved in music long enough to have an idea of what to look for in this instrument.

One of the most successful exponents of the genre is Sri Chinmoy. In addition to producing meditation music CDs, he performs in concerts and gives talks on world peace and how to achieve harmony. He is a philosopher and a poet, bringing his view of life to his music. An accomplished musician, he plays bamboo flute, the harmonium and a classical Indian instrument called the esraj.

If you love independent music, you are not alone. Many find they are bored with what MTV offers, or rather doesn’t offer any more, and the radio seems to play the same tired songs all of the time. They want something new and different, and they turn to independent music. Most are not disappointed. The bands find they can reach people everywhere, and people have more options for music. Some even find that an unknown band on the other side of the world becomes their most preferred music, and they stop listening to the commercialize pop music completely.

Advertising and graphic art really took off in the 1960s. It was the heyday for music posters, especially in the latter part of the decade when psychedelic, swirling colors were stuck to thousands of teenage bedroom walls. Everyone wanted a reminder of their guitar heroes or their favorite gigs. These posters are still popular today as each generation makes their bedroom a shrine to their music gods.
The most famous rock festival in history, the original Woodstock, produced a number of iconic music posters. The most familiar one is of the festival logo; a dove perched on the fretboard of a guitar. Other posters show Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix playing there. Tastes in music will evolve but music posters will always be in demand by the fans and a way to express their devotion.

One could argue that over the past 100 years no guitar company has been copied more often then Gibson guitars. Of course they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Ever since Gibson began making guitars in the early 1900s (with their roots going back to the late 1800s), their styles have been copied many times over. So why is it that so many companies copy the look and feel of Gibson guitars?
Well the most obvious reason is that they make guitars that look very cool and play extremely well. Many different artists over the years have endorsed various types of Gibson models, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Angus Young, and Slash, among others. In addition, many of their designs have been fairly innovative. The Les Paul is arguably the most well known guitar in the world and its style has been copied many times over by many guitar companies, sometimes even resulting in lawsuits. The Explorer and Flying V models also come to mind as two of the more innovative guitar designs of the last century. buy a guitar online today!
