I told him that I had information on numerous websites that he could log on that told everything about Alicia Keys. Needless to say, my nephew was overjoyed and thanked me profusely.

I have a bet going with my buddy. We’re trying to figure out what Rihanna’s measurements are (bust, waist, and hips). You know who I’m talkin about. Rihanna, the girl who sings that song umbrella. Well anyway, my buddy swears she’s “hippier” than what she appears. I think she’s pretty standard. Our debate has actually been going on for weeks. In any regard, I’m trying to find out what her real measurements are. I found one site that has Rihanna facts, biography details, and best of all, Rihanna photos, and the site DOES have her measurements. However, this is the only site I’ve seen that lists them, so I want to make sure they’re accurate before I bring them to the table. Does anyone know of any other site that has hot chick measurements (and pictures would be nice too)? I want to double check the numbers I’ve found.

Certain guitarists have defined a genre and made it their own. Dick Dale made surf music; beloved of drive in surfing movies, known around the world and Ry Cooder will be forever associated with bottle neck guitar. In the 1970s, punk music opened up opportunities and more credence was given to energy and passion than ability. Guitar music, for a while, was reduced to three chords as a counter movement to ever more elaborate, progressive rock.
Today, guitar based bands dominate as ever on both sides of the Atlantic and across Europe. Guitar music will never go away, no matter how many computerized recording gadgets are invented. Young bloods will continue to practice Stairway to Heaven in their bedrooms, driving their parents insane.

Dorothy and her cute doggy Toto do not try to find way home from behind the rainbow any more after an English rock band Pink Floyd gave their own version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow.
Wait! Wizard of Oz, an MGM movie, was made 1939 – according to my son, in the ancient times. To be truth, Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon, lies for him in the same ancient times.
Now, on the more serious note: Dark Side of the Rainbow aka Dark Side of Oz aka The Wizard of Floyd, is some sort of synchronization between classic MGM movie and Pink Floyd album. One watches the film and listens to music at the same time. Many believe that the movie and the music somehow correspond with each other.

If you aren’t sure that the online sheet music you have is legal, search around for the copyright. Remember that even when you buy a set, you may have to pay money to make copies of it. When you are getting online sheet music for use in a band, or at a school for example, you have to pay attention to the specifics of what you can do with it and what you cannot.

The Dead Kennedys (often known by their initials DK, as in “decay”) are a Hardcore Punk band from San Francisco, California. During the 1980s, the band gained a large underground following in the international punk and hardcore music scenes. Their music mixed the more experimental elements of English 1970s punk with the raw energy of the 1980s American hardcore punk scene. The Kennedys’ songs mix the deliberately shocking lyrics of punk with a humorous, acerbic, satirical, and sarcastic left-wing commentary on current social and political issues. At the same time, some of their songs also mocked the hypocritical stances of some liberal elites. Many of the band’s songs criticize the right-wing ideologies of the religious right and the Ronald Reagan administration.

Modern popular music with Christian themes in the lyrics is a big industry today, especially in the United States. There are several record labels and radio stations that promote Christian music groups. The lyrics vary in their strength of feeling and the Christian message is delivered in different ways. Gospel music has often crossed over into the mainstream and many artists, such as Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan, have explored their Christian beliefs.

If you are planning a special occasion, such as a wedding, party or even a corporate event, it might be a great idea to hire a tribute band. DJs are common and so are cover bands but a great tribute band can really get your party going with a swing and are not as expensive as you might think.Tribute bands have become hugely popular, some of them are so close to the real thing that it is almost impossible to tell them apart. There are also some dreadful ones around, so if you are considering a tribute band, you need to make sure you use a reputable company, preferably one who has been in business for a while, provides you with plenty of choice, is reasonably priced and has testimonials from past happy customers. A bad tribute band can ruin your special day or party, or be embarrassing if it is a corporate function, so it is best to be cautious and do some research before booking the first tribute band you happen to come across. There are many tribute acts in the UK and the choice is immense. Whether you are looking for Abba tribute bands, Beatles tribute bands, Queen tribute bands, cover tribute bands or something quite different, the odds are very good that you will be able to find just what you are looking for. Tribute bands are great fans of the originals themselves and will go to great lengths to look and sound just like them, paying attention to every last detail so their customers get the most authentic experience possible. There have been many TV shows featuring tribute bands and impersonators. Some of the most popular shows today include Pop Idol and Stars in Their Eyes because people love tribute acts and impersonators.
The first ever tribute bands were probably The Beatles and Elvis. Today, there are literally hundreds of Elvis tribute acts in the UK alone! Famous tribute bands include Bjorn Again (Abba) and Beatlemania (The Beatles) and tribute band names are often a pun of the original name. Many tribute bands these days are well known and have their own fan bases. Hiring a tribute band is a way of bringing your favourite stars to your own party or event. Rather than go to an impersonal concert, you can share the enjoyment with your friends and family in your own settings. After the show, you can even mingle with the stars!
If you are not sure which tribute band would be the best, have a think about the occasion. If it is your daughter, perhaps an Anastacia impersonator would be ideal to get the party started or how about some Kylie? For a slightly older audience, you could consider Bee Gees tribute bands, Rolling Stones tribute bands, Blondie tribute bands or even Beach Boys tribute bands. For something a little different, there are even Jam tribute bands, U2 tribute bands, Blues Bros tribute bands and everything in between. Browsing artistes on the internet lets you see the performers photos too so you can see how much they resemble the original artiste.
If you are still not sure what would be the best thing, you can browse performers online or talk to someone in the tribute band hire company and see what they can suggest. Try to book your act as soon a possible to guarantee availability of your favourite band but even if you are booking at the last minute, you might still be able to get a great tribute band if you’re lucky.
As I have mentioned, you have to be very careful about how you find tribute bands. There are plenty of unscrupulous companies around who wouldn’t think twice about taking your money and sending a second rate performer or band. There are probably more scam agencies than good ones so you do need to take care. You can shop around for the best price but remember that if a tribute band is extremely cheap, this could indicate that they are not very good! Hiring a bad band could ruin your party and be humiliating for you since you are the one responsible for booking them in the first place. If you want to hire a tribute band always shop around first before committing yourself to any particular act or company.
If you’d like further information about hiring a tribute band for your special event try visiting http://www.tributebandreviews.co.uk A site that specializes in providing information and independent reviews about tribute bands.

Percussion instruments have been around for thousands of years. They began as a method of communication, a part of important tribal ceremonies before becoming a very common expression of musical taste. The word percussion comes from a Latin word, that when translated means to strike. Of course, not all percussion instruments are hit to make their music.

The reason why is essential because it is the initial reason that predicts if someone will will quit soon, stay mediocre or become good.

Nice info about history of music!
When most of us think about the history of music, we think of the history of rock music. We assume that the history is simple because the music is simple. In fact, neither is the case. The history of music, whether you’re talking about classical music, rock music, jazz music, or any other kind, is always complicated. New chord structures are introduced bringing with them new ways of…

Noted for her distinctive singing style, Carey possesses a five-octave vocal range, and her vocals make frequent use of melismas and other ornamentation. During the 1990s, she released fifteen U.S. number-one hits on Columbia Records, run by then-husband Tommy Mottola, several of which broke chart records. By the turn of the millennium, Carey’s popularity with critics and the public had entered decline, and she was dropped from her new record label following a highly-publicised physical breakdown and an unsuccessful foray into film. In 2005, Carey returned to the forefront of R&B music with her multi-platinum album The Emancipation of Mimi, which spawned her sixteenth number-one single, “We Belong Together”.

Hints on Buying Your Second Hand Guitar and Questions to Ask the Seller
The model and make of the guitar – It is best if you can research the guitar model you are interested in to find out the asking price elsewhere, both the new and used price. Also in your research, find out if other people have experienced any problems with it. You can find reviews for almost any guitar submitted at www.harmony-central.com/Guitar or you can check it out at your local
music store.
Check the condition of the guitar – Ask the seller about any damage that would be undetectable upon rough inspection. An honest seller may tell you.
How old is the guitar, how long have they had it? – If they have owned it for a long time, they should know the history of its use, repairs and maintenance etc. If they are not forthcoming with that sort of information, they may be trying to pull one over you.
Check for the following when inspecting the guitar:
The guitars overall condition – Examine the guitar and make note of any obvious damage. – Guitars often take a bit of wear and tear and if its just small scrapes and scratches then the guitar should probably be OK. Check for rust also, not just on the strings, but also examine the hardware that is holding the strings and the pickups. If you find rust in any of these places… run! It’s not worth it. A guitar that may fall apart on you in the near future isn’t much good, is it? Trust me – leave it alone.

In all probability, if you have asked someone if you could use their guitar for a while, it would be a steel string acoustic or an old classical acoustic guitar.
Acoustic guitars only require a pick while electric guitars require things like leads, amps, speakers and power. Acoustic guitars are very easy to learn on.
Another great thing about acoustic guitars is that you don’t have a volume control. In the beginning stages of learning to play, it is probably better to play on a guitar that isn’t going bother your neighbors, you only want it loud enough so your ears alone can hear both your good performances and of course, your errors.
There are many different reasons why people play guitar. What it is that you want to get out of the guitar? Listen to different styles and
genres of music to discover what your tastes in guitar and music are. Ask musicians at music shops about what kind of guitars different bands use, or ask them what kind of amps/effects those artists use to get that sound.
