Online guitar lessons are a great way to learn guitar. Cheaper and more convenient than private studio lessons, the technology is now at a point where the difference in quality is nonexistent and actually has many advantages.
Many guitar instructors are limited to a certain style. With the better online courses the styles and musical genres are practically unlimited. There is no boredom factor involved either. Many students quit guitar lessons if their teacher doesn’t know the songs, artists or type of music they like. The top courses cover all the bases. If you don’t like certain musical styles, don’t play them and go on to something else more interesting.

Oh, Boy! If you are as passionate and as avid about the American Idol singing talent search reality show as I am, you will be happy to know that this season 9 AI 2010 promises more excitement, bigger dramas, and the best entertainment than ever before.
Why? Well, with Paula Abdul abdicating and post and Ellen DeGeneres being planted in her stead, the fun will increase exponentially. And as far as the contestants are concerned, that bunch is a whole lot more talented and a whole lot more versatile on top of being a whole lot younger than in the previous eight seasons.
But enough rambling on my part, go to American Buzz and get all the info you will ever need to know in order to form your own intelligent opinions.

The fame that is associated with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart comes as a surprise when we learn that this great composer has achieved so much and yet died at age 35. Born in Austria in 1756, he was to stun the world with his great composition which still enjoys global appeal to this day.
If you read a standard Mozart biography you’ll learn he played the harpsichord at 3 years of age and composed at around 5 or 6 years. He traveled all over Europe in the company of his father and held concerts in the major cities including London and Paris. He died in 1791 after a short illness.

I have bought many guitars online over the years. I studied Classical Guitar At The Crane School of Music, and played in various bands for the last 15 years or so. To Buy Guitar Online is to truly live on the edge. Really I would prefer to go to the store and play the very guitar I am buying, but sometimes, I have to order. For example, in 2001 I wanted this Parker Fly Classic (now called the mojo) with a certain natural finish I could not find in New York. I went online and eventually found the exact one I wanted in a small store in Tennessee (I forget the website lol) In general though, I would go to a local music store to play the guitar you are buying because the more expensive ones like Gibson, are all basically hand-made and can have different feels, flaws and bonuses, ESPECIALLY acoustic guitars. I really want the Martin D-35, but I would definitely go to a store and play 3 or 4 of them before choosing one, not just picking it out of a catalogue.

I’m a bit of a vintage guitar enthusiast, so I thought I’d share with my fellow guitar geeks an article about vintage Gibsons. It was published by www.guitarheadz.com. I liked the article and republished it on my vintage guitar fan site. Here’s a snippet:
Vintage Gibson acoustic guitars have always been, and will always be among the favorites of both musicians and collectors world wide. The first Gibson acoustic guitars came out around 1900, and they have been going strong ever since. Even the early models were known to be the best in the industry. The great thing about the Gibson name is that they constantly reinvent themselves, but never seem to fall off the map. Regardless of what they do, or how they design their next guitar, Gibson is always the one setting the trend.

I have a bet going with my buddy. We’re trying to figure out what Rihanna’s measurements are (bust, waist, and hips). You know who I’m talkin about. Rihanna, the girl who sings that song umbrella. Well anyway, my buddy swears she’s “hippier” than what she appears. I think she’s pretty standard. Our debate has actually been going on for weeks. In any regard, I’m trying to find out what her real measurements are. I found one site that has Rihanna facts, biography details, and best of all, Rihanna photos, and the site DOES have her measurements. However, this is the only site I’ve seen that lists them, so I want to make sure they’re accurate before I bring them to the table. Does anyone know of any other site that has hot chick measurements (and pictures would be nice too)? I want to double check the numbers I’ve found.

Dorothy and her cute doggy Toto do not try to find way home from behind the rainbow any more after an English rock band Pink Floyd gave their own version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow.
Wait! Wizard of Oz, an MGM movie, was made 1939 – according to my son, in the ancient times. To be truth, Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon, lies for him in the same ancient times.
Now, on the more serious note: Dark Side of the Rainbow aka Dark Side of Oz aka The Wizard of Floyd, is some sort of synchronization between classic MGM movie and Pink Floyd album. One watches the film and listens to music at the same time. Many believe that the movie and the music somehow correspond with each other.

Online sheet music is going to come with a price tag, but when you buy this way, you are usually getting sheet music that is very accurate, and you know it has come from a legal source. If you aren’t sure that the online sheet music you have is legal, search around for the copyright. Remember that even when you buy a set, you may have to pay money to make copies of it. When you are getting online sheet music for use in a band, or at a school for example, you have to pay attention to the specifics of what you can do with it and what you cannot.

The Dead Kennedys (often known by their initials DK, as in “decay”) are a Hardcore Punk band from San Francisco, California. During the 1980s, the band gained a large underground following in the international punk and hardcore music scenes. Their music mixed the more experimental elements of English 1970s punk with the raw energy of the 1980s American hardcore punk scene. The Kennedys’ songs mix the deliberately shocking lyrics of punk with a humorous, acerbic, satirical, and sarcastic left-wing commentary on current social and political issues. At the same time, some of their songs also mocked the hypocritical stances of some liberal elites. Many of the band’s songs criticize the right-wing ideologies of the religious right and the Ronald Reagan administration.

The Bled is a post-hardcore band from Tucson, Arizona. The band members united over their love of music and their desire to get out of Tucson. They formed in 2001 and soon established a name for themselves in their home town, playing many shows and often to sold out audiences. Eventually they signed to Fiddler Records and released one album through them – Pass The Flask. The band toured extensively in support of this album. However, before recording started for their second album, original bass player, Mike Celi, left the band. He was replaced by Darren Simoes. The band is currently signed to Vagrant Records and through them, released their second album, Found In The Flood in 2005. They have toured alongside such bands as Slipknot, Alexisonfire, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Thrice, Midtown, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Senses Fail, and AFI. Modern popular music with Christian themes in the lyrics is a big industry today, especially in the United States. There are several record labels and radio stations that promote Christian music groups. The lyrics vary in their strength of feeling and the Christian message is delivered in different ways. Gospel music has often crossed over into the mainstream and many artists, such as Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan, have explored their Christian beliefs.

If you are planning a special occasion, such as a wedding, party or even a corporate event, it might be a great idea to hire a tribute band. DJs are common and so are cover bands but a great tribute band can really get your party going with a swing and are not as expensive as you might think.Tribute bands have become hugely popular, some of them are so close to the real thing that it is almost impossible to tell them apart. There are also some dreadful ones around, so if you are considering a tribute band, you need to make sure you use a reputable company, preferably one who has been in business for a while, provides you with plenty of choice, is reasonably priced and has testimonials from past happy customers. A bad tribute band can ruin your special day or party, or be embarrassing if it is a corporate function, so it is best to be cautious and do some research before booking the first tribute band you happen to come across. There are many tribute acts in the UK and the choice is immense. Whether you are looking for Abba tribute bands, Beatles tribute bands, Queen tribute bands, cover tribute bands or something quite different, the odds are very good that you will be able to find just what you are looking for. Tribute bands are great fans of the originals themselves and will go to great lengths to look and sound just like them, paying attention to every last detail so their customers get the most authentic experience possible. There have been many TV shows featuring tribute bands and impersonators. Some of the most popular shows today include Pop Idol and Stars in Their Eyes because people love tribute acts and impersonators.
The first ever tribute bands were probably The Beatles and Elvis. Today, there are literally hundreds of Elvis tribute acts in the UK alone! Famous tribute bands include Bjorn Again (Abba) and Beatlemania (The Beatles) and tribute band names are often a pun of the original name. Many tribute bands these days are well known and have their own fan bases. Hiring a tribute band is a way of bringing your favourite stars to your own party or event. Rather than go to an impersonal concert, you can share the enjoyment with your friends and family in your own settings. After the show, you can even mingle with the stars!
If you are not sure which tribute band would be the best, have a think about the occasion. If it is your daughter, perhaps an Anastacia impersonator would be ideal to get the party started or how about some Kylie? For a slightly older audience, you could consider Bee Gees tribute bands, Rolling Stones tribute bands, Blondie tribute bands or even Beach Boys tribute bands. For something a little different, there are even Jam tribute bands, U2 tribute bands, Blues Bros tribute bands and everything in between. Browsing artistes on the internet lets you see the performers photos too so you can see how much they resemble the original artiste.
If you are still not sure what would be the best thing, you can browse performers online or talk to someone in the tribute band hire company and see what they can suggest. Try to book your act as soon a possible to guarantee availability of your favourite band but even if you are booking at the last minute, you might still be able to get a great tribute band if you’re lucky.
As I have mentioned, you have to be very careful about how you find tribute bands. There are plenty of unscrupulous companies around who wouldn’t think twice about taking your money and sending a second rate performer or band. There are probably more scam agencies than good ones so you do need to take care. You can shop around for the best price but remember that if a tribute band is extremely cheap, this could indicate that they are not very good! Hiring a bad band could ruin your party and be humiliating for you since you are the one responsible for booking them in the first place. If you want to hire a tribute band always shop around first before committing yourself to any particular act or company.
If you’d like further information about hiring a tribute band for your special event try visiting http://www.tributebandreviews.co.uk A site that specializes in providing information and independent reviews about tribute bands.

Percussion instruments have been around for thousands of years. They began as a method of communication, a part of important tribal ceremonies before becoming a very common expression of musical taste. The word percussion comes from a Latin word, that when translated means to strike. Of course, not all percussion instruments are hit to make their music.
